Document Archiving

Web content, data, and documents are subject to many different laws and regulations such as Basel II, Bill 198, CLERP9, and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Open Text Web Solutions can help ensure that all your Web content archiving is compliant and retrievable.

With the Web Solutions archiving integration, your Web pages are archived automatically, without having to invest time in manual processing. When necessary, even staff with little technical expertise can verify which content was available on the Web site at a particular time. Open Text Web Solutions helps reduce the complexity of legal regulations associated with a company's Web activities. It offers integrated, efficient information management from the simple creation of content to compliant archiving.

Compliant Archiving of Web Content

All Web content is archived in accordance with legal requirements dictating long term recovery. When publishing a Web page, the system not only creates a snapshot of the HTML page but also automatically creates a legally compliant PDF version, too. Both are written to the archive. No content is lost and you have the assurance of being covered legally.

Accurate Record of Published Web Content

While the PDF version ensures compliant archiving, a set of metadata is added to the HTML version for easy searching. With this indexed HTML version, all information can be retrieved through a full-text search. You can verify which content was displayed on the Web site at any exact time. You either search for Web content available at a specific moment in the past or you retrieve the changes on a Web site during a specified period of time.
