Top Three and five of the top 10 Local Government Websites use RedDot, the Open Text Web Solutions Group
Wokingham, Berkshire - Open Text(tm) Corporation (NASDAQ: OTEX, TSX: OTC), the largest independent provider of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) software and solutions, today announces that the top three, and five of the top 10 local government websites tested in a recent survey by SiteMorse manage accessibility, content and media assets with the web content management solution from RedDot, the Open Text Web Solutions Group to power their sites.

Local government web sites for Herefordshire (http://www.herefordshire.gov.uk/), which was also acknowledged as an error-free site, Lewes (http://www.lewes.gov.uk/) and South Norfolk (http://www.south-norfolk.gov.uk//) secured the top three positions. Other sites recognised in the top 10 by the survey and using RedDot are; Slough Borough Council (http://www.slough.gov.uk/) and Portsmouth (http://www.portsmouth.gov.uk/).

SiteMorse measured 463 sites for performance, functionality, accessibility (WAI A and AA), legal compliance, brand continuity and compliance. SiteMorse tests web pages using already established guidelines and standards e.g. IETF, W3C, [WAI], along with the growing requirements under the disability act, and the new regulations for Government websites.
