New York, NY - RedDot Solutions, (http://www.reddot.com/), a leading provider of online content management solutions, today announced that the City of Westminster, CO, (population 100,940) has selected RedDot's Content Management Server (CMS), to maintain and update the City's 4,500 page Web site. CMS is the RedDot's core-functionality version of the powerful RedDot CMS Professional system.

"What I found with RedDot is that it has a very user-friendly system for the contributors and it supplied our IT staff with all the needed technical tools to help us maintain the site at our current high standards. It was cost-effective and integrated seamlessly with the system we already have in place," said Arthur Rea, Software Engineer, City of Westminster. "The timeliness of information to our site is critical to our visitors, which is why we needed a solution that would streamline workflow by enabling any staff, regardless of technical background, to publish content to the site on an ongoing basis."
The City of Westminster's Web site was developed internally in 1997 by the Information Technology department. Last year the Assistant City Manager and Director of IT decided to create a combined Web team consisting of the Public Information Office (PIO) and IT department Web developers, to create the best possible content and technology resources for the city's Web site.

RedDot was selected as the CMS for the City of Westminster because the system was so user friendly, that contributors were enabled access to their specific pages to update and create information seamlessly, on an ongoing basis. They created a board of content management contributors consisting of select individuals from each department within the city. These contributors manage their own sections of the Web site for updating and creating the content, leaving final editing decisions to the PIO department, thus empowering them to have total control of content contribution to the site.
